The primary purpose of youth ministries is to call youth into lifelong discipleship; to identify the call and commitment to the family, church and the community; and to apply the teaching of the Gospel of Jesus Christ through God’s word to their lives. This ministry will provide the proper background for strong, confident and educated Christian youth. 

The Department of Youth seeks to:

Integrate youth ministry with the church ministry as an extension of each other.

Reach out to those youth who do not have a relationship with Jesus Christ and encourage those who do.

Teach, prepare and train all youth for contributing roles in life and in the mission of the church.

Youth Ministries & Activities (Ministering)

These ministries of discipleship involve putting the gospel message into action.  This includes mission, service, witnessing, evangelizing, social action, and leadership, both in the church and in the world.  The focus does not exclude youth who have not made a commitment to Christ.

Youth Fellowship

Youth Fellowship promotes Christian behavior through review of daily activities and events. The ministry explores the realities of daily living from a Christian perspective for the positive development of young people in a Christian setting by recognizing their presence, involving them in the life of the church, and reflecting on life situations within  a spiritual context.

Education & Scholarship (Equipping)

In order to live as disciples, youth need to be prepared.  Equipping begins with the special gifts which God has allowed all of us to have.  It moves on from there to gaining knowledge and acquiring skills.  These ministries equip our youth for discipleship.

Mentoring Ministries (Deepening Spiritual Life)

In youth ministry, we seek to help youth become aware of the vital importance of their relationship with God and to enable them to continue to grow in the relationship.  Spiritual life is deepened both through the development of personal spiritual discipline and through experiences such as prayer and worship.
